What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy uses plant materials and aromatic plant oils, including essential oils, and other aroma compounds for improving psychological or physical well-being. It can be offered as a complementary therapy or as a form of alternative medicine. People turn to aromatherapy and essential oils for a variety of reasons. Some use it for relaxation and to rejuvenate while others use it for different ailments – sometimes a last resort before going to their doctor. Aromatherapy and essential oils have been shown to reduce nausea, pain and body aches, anxiety, stress, depression, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, circulatory problems, digestive problems, menstrual and menopausal problems just to name a few.
Aromatherapy does not replace medical treatment or advice but it does compliment a variety of therapies and treatments plans.
What to Expect From a Consultation?
Upon visit with a client, I would start the consultation and treatment program design. This allows me to collect personal data. To collect information of the client’s current state of health, general lifestyle and as well as allows me to do an assessment of their current health concerns. I would get a rundown of their medical history including allergies, blood pressure issues and medications being taken to ensure safe recommendations and suggestions of oils. From there we would start developing a treatment plan and depending on the clients need and preference I would recommend single oils or offer to do a custom blend. Then I would explain proper dilutions, dosage and give instructions for application and schedule a follow up phone call or appointment.
Consultation Fee: Initial consultation/free – $35.00/follow up
Cost of custom blend not included.
